BVN is inviting expressions of interest from exceptional Health Designers to join our Brisbane (preferred) or Sydney studio. This is an exciting, dynamic position that requires an adept and experienced individual who can positively contribute to key health projects at BVN.

Here are some details about the role. Does this sound like you?

We are looking for an architect or interior designer who is experienced in the delivery of departments within large-scale health projects, is confident in the planning of different department types, is used to being active in stakeholder meetings, and who works well within a team. You will have the ability to plan and develop rooms and departments at a detail level and have a detailed understanding of and interest in relevant guidelines, including Australasian Health Facility Guidelines, and their impacts upon planning.

The Role

  • Responsibility of clinical planning of several departments in a leadership role
  • Effectively manage and coordinate a small internal team as well as external groups
  • User group leadership alongside development of clinical planning, applicable to a range of departments
  • Liaise with clients while representing BVN at meetings and presentations
  • Encourage and develop your team’s skills
  • Collaborate and work closely in an integrated manner with the broader project team, as well as the leadership group to develop projects

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in leading the clinical planning and delivery of departments in complex, large scale health care projects, or making a significant contribution in a 2IC capacity
  • Experience running user group meetings and leading clinical planning from design development to construction documentation
  • A positive, innovative, capable, and dynamic approach to problem solving
  • Strong communication skills, particularly written and verbal
  • A concise understanding and mindfulness of maintaining and enhancing core design intent philosophies throughout all project phases
  • Strong leadership, management, and mentoring skills - a desire to mentor team members, offer guidance and leadership, and encourage professional growth
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with the Project Director and Principals
  • We are a Revit-based office, and a strong working knowledge of the software is essential
  • Proficiency in dRofus would be highly regarded, but is not essential
